Are you sick of the word Coachella yet? If your social media feed has been anything like mine this weekend, then I’m sure you feel as if you were basically there, too. Even though I wasn’t there this year, I’ve still managed to keep an eye out for the best of the best when it comes to Coachella style.
Who caught your eye this weekend?
Below I’ve narrowed it down to a handful of my FAVORITE looks from this weekend — plus, a few links to similar products so that you can recreate some of your favorite looks from this post and this weekend. Let’s get this thaang started, shall we?
If you follow me on Instagram, then you totally saw this one coming. I absolutely lost myself when I saw this post by @Spell_ByronBay on Friday afternoon when scrolling through my newsfeed. When I think about my DREAM Coachella look, this would be it. Right up there in full-blown color. I think it’s the jacket that sold me. Festival babe @annalisemclachlan (p.s. check out her insta video of this bad boy in action) is wearing a gold Cascade tinsel jacket from Bottle Blonde Studio, where you can order this exact one or design one with the color of your dreams. I literally got to customize my own, step by step, when I ordered from them last summer. They’re so easy to work with and the communication is great — seriously, the shipping time from the UK to the US was the worst part. My jacket’s pink and blue, and I love it dearly, but now I NEED a gold one!
P.S. this post is not sponsored by Bottle Blonde Studio in any way (although if you ever see this, HMU), but it is a company that I put my full support and recommendation in if you’re in search of quality, handmade festival fashion.
The body of her look is a slip dress from Spell & the Gypsy Collective, layers of chunky belts and beaded accessories, and the most magical pair of WHITE cowboy boots. I’m obsessed, like to the point where I can’t even articulate how much I love this look.
There’s always going to be something about a fringe jacket (ha, notice a pattern here?) that I will always love. From leather, to denim, to TINSEL, what’s not to love? I think it’s the way it moves when we move that makes it so mesmerizing, but who knows? Meg from Styled Avenue posted this stunning desert shot on her Instagram and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. This pastel blue Wrangler jacket is available at Urban Outfitters and every western cowgirl’s dream. Similar hats from brands such as Lack of Colour or Brixton, as I haven’t been able to track down her exact hat. The reoccurring elements of tan through the shirt, belt, and shoes tie the whole look together. Also, can we talk about her shorts? I’m absolutely obsessed. Revolve has a slightly different pair here, but if you know where these are from PLEASE let a girl know.
Ty French might be included on this list because I’ve got a tiny lil crush, but those pants make it totally justifiable, okay? I’m a sucker for a boy who looks like he just finished catching some waves. The Alexander Wang pants are my absolute favorite part of this entire look, even though they’re completely sold out everywhere. You can see Ty and the pants in action in his New Year’s blog post here. Any man who would dare to wear these amazing, sparkling pants could steal my heart within seconds. I just love a guy with cool style? I keep sitting here trying to justify more reasons why this outfit needed to be included in this list, and aside from the Gucci hat, I think it’s just because I’m in love. Signed, sealed, delivered, I’m his.
Originally, I knew Chloe x Halle from their roles on Freeform’s Grown-ish, which I absolutely adore, but had NO idea they also were singers until just about a month or so ago. All it took was for me to Google search the show’s theme song and then it all fell into place. Y’all, these girls got VOICES. Let me tell you! I watched their performance (and the entire lineup, basically) via Youtube’s Coachella livestream and I’m even more obsessed now. In custom bodysuits from Yousef Aljasmi, the girls were giving me serious Rhianna-in-Gucci-bodysuit vibes. Aljasmi has also created piece for others, such as Halsey, Carrie Underwood, and the Beychella headliner herself — Beyonce.
I also need to take a moment for Beyonce’s BOOTS during the first part of her performance. The Christian Louboutin boots were EVERYTHING to me with the holographic fringe. I told y’all, I’m a sucker for fringe!!
While I love anything and everything over-the-top, there’s also something so magical about a simplistic white dress. Brazilian blogger Micheli Fernandes was stunning in this white lace dress with sheer bell sleeves, but this was only just one of her looks. If you head over to her Instagram page, you’ll see that she absolutely KILLED every single day of Coachella. Like, it took me at least ten minutes to narrow down which ONE outfit of hers was my favorite and it was not easy. This dress comes from Saia de Saia and is accessorized with a chunky, metal statement necklace and belt at the waist. I love a good, ethereal white dress.
Coachella fashion is in a league of its own.
Truly, it’s hard for anything else to compete with the contrasts of glitter, couture, and expression that each festival attendee embodies and embraces throughout the weekend. There is a infectious culture surrounding the whole event, and even if you dislike it, it’s hard not to get caught up in it this time of year.
What were some of your favorite looks from this past weekend? There were so many to pick from when I was going through trying to make my list and I wish I could’ve included them all! Let me know some of your favorites down below, peeps! ttyl,
